This week on Remotely Renee, Renee starts by introducing her new podcast called Takeline. She gives a brief discussion of the content and is very excited about things to come on the new podcast. Then Renee and the 2-Lit crew discuss the adventures of a group message involving laced marijuana and a cryptic message from Snook. Paul shares Remotely Renee’s growth is in the top 10% of podcasts and Renee is ecstatic and gives thanks to everyone for helping them move to the top!
Hero IRL features Chasity Melvin assistant coach for the Phoenix Mercury talks about life coaching and how it created a way for her to help her players find a balance between work and personal life. She talks about what inspired her to write her book. She also gives great advice to everyone on how to get through the pandemic and depression.
Remote Scoreboard Paul breaks the news about Overtime Elite, a new league that allows players as young as 16 to play in the league. The cast weighs in on the new opportunity and is split whether it’s on the same level as the G League. The cast touches on Sue Bird and partners starting a media company showing that athletes are succeeding in careers other than sports. Finally, Renee opens her NBA Top Shot moments on the air and announces she is doing a Top Shop giveaway on the next show!
On Remote 1-On-1 Renee sits down with Vivica Fox. She talked about her beginnings with church activities, sports, and when she caught the acting bug. She tells how she went from the soap opera Young and the Restless to blockbuster hit Independence Day.
During Remote Roses Ari Chambers joins as a guest to give out roses to another great female during Women’s month! Ari also receives roses from Renee and the 2-Lit Crew for her support of the WNBA and other women’s sports.
Snook honors a family member on this episode of Remote Roots. Carolyn Elizabeth Bennett Smoot was a West Virginia educator whose many accomplishments gained her many accolades including being featured in Jet and Ebony magazine. She was also the first African American and woman to be appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate to hold the title of a commissioner for the state of West Virginia.
Renee closed out the show wearing her royal crown and expressing her excitement of the release of coming to 2 America!
